The Center for Developmental Play and Learning (CDPL) was established in 2007 and operates in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. CDPL specializes in relationship-based DIR® (Developmental, Individual-differences, & Relationship-based model) services, focusing on families seeking comprehensive intervention programs for their children. The center adopts the D.I.R. Floortime approach, which involves meeting children at their developmental level and building upon their strengths. Therapy sessions are designed to help children engage and relate with others, regulate themselves, and overcome sensory challenges. The organization caters to children with developmental delays, social-emotional developmental issues, and diagnoses of autism, aiming to enhance their ability to make friends, share attention, and engage in meaningful communication.
