UCSF Pediatric Occupational Therapy Clinic provides occupational therapy for infants with feeding disorders and for children with functional problems related to delayed or interrupted development. The clinic also sees children whose medical conditions, behavioral issues, or injuries affect motor skills needed for everyday tasks such as eating, speaking, writing, drawing, and play. Occupational therapists do thorough evaluations and create treatment plans based on proven techniques and each child’s individual needs. They also work with families and other caregivers to show them ways to support the child at home, in school, and at play.
